InMotion gives users an interactive method to build the model, as well asanalyze and evaluate the results. InMotion provides the graphicalanimation of the links, plots of position, velocity, and acceleration.Graphical and textural display of reaction forces at the joints are alsoprovided in the results. Coupler curves can be plotted for the points ofinterest. Different loads can be assigned to the same model and analyzedat the same time, thus facilitating easy comparison of the effects of theloads on the model. This enables users to avoid shuttling between themodeling, analysis, and results stages.InMotion is compatible with the Digital line of ULTRIX-basedworkstations. InMotion uses the graphical user interface provided by theOpen Software Foundation, Motif. Modeling is accomplished by usingInMotion's modeler or by interfacing to CAD systems via DXF or IGES (2-Dand 3-D).
